Through the course of my speaking engagements, I have had the
opportunity to speak and meet with a diverse section of people.
The following are just a few testimonials of my
speaking abilities
and the results of my engagement.
"My students were engaged during the entire presentation. Shelley has
a way of connecting with students from the minute she walks in the classroom.
Her courage and strength to help young people make better choices should be
applauded. Her humor and warmth encouraged students to ask those difficult
questions. After her presentation several students came to talk with me
regarding their personal story of meth or other drugs in their homes. Many of
my students have seen their friends and family members involved somehow with drug
use. Shelley’s presentation started a healthy dialogue. Many of the students
were moved to tears with her presentation, and yet at other times, they were
laughing with Shelley. Every student needs to see this presentation."

"I have been able to help educate the public as to the dangers of Meth by having
Shelley speak at our community forum. Shelley is a bright, intelligent, beautiful girl
who got addicted to this horrific drug. She tells an enthralling shocking story with a
great outcome. She speaks from the heart and gives a great presentation."
Brenda Murdock
Meridian Police Department
Anti-Drug Coalition Coordinator
"I learned that drugs can destroy your body and your house and your life. I will never use drugs!"
Leslie, age 12
"Shelley’s presentation made a huge impression on my children that they remember to this
day. They were moved by her honesty and willingness to share her experiences with drugs.
Shelley speaks to kids in a way they can understand and her pictures tell a thousand words."
Tracy, parent
"I have seen and heard Shelley speak many times. Her presentation leaves a lasting impression
on all who are fortunate enough to connect with her. As a Safe and Drug Free Schools Coordinator,
I would recommend that school districts go out of their way to schedule this life changing
presentation. Shelley’s sincerity regarding her journey is inspiring!"
Jeri Gowen, LCPC
SADFS Coordinator
Vallivue School District
"She was extremely well prepared and informative, which kept the students fully engaged.
Her presentation was filled with honesty and deep humility, so students felt her
experiences and recognized her pain, anguish and very real consequences. I
would highly recommend Shelly as a continued guest speaker and would encourage other
groups to use her story to assist in the drug and alcohol epidemic facing young people.
